Terrapin Lodge

Terrapin Lodge is located in Carate, the southern gateway to Corcovado National Park. The park is an irreplaceable part of the natural wealth of Costa Rica and is world famous for its amazing beauty and biological diversity. Corcovado National Park is one of the largest remaining tracts of lowland tropical rainforest in Central America and supports an amazing variety of exotic plant and animal life.  Terrapin Lodge is located mere steps from Carate Beach, home to the endangered Green Sea Turtle. Terrapin Lodge has worked with its neighbors to fund and develop a hatchery for of this endangered reptile and remains dedicated to preserving its namesake. Lucky visitors catch sight of these amazing creatures every year.
